What is Ladki Bahin Yojana?

Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is a flagship financial empowerment scheme launched by the Government of Maharashtra in July 2024. It provides ₹1,500 per month directly into the Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of eligible women, aiming to improve financial independence, health, nutrition, and decision-making power for women across Maharashtra.

💡 Good News for 2026 Beneficiaries
Pending installments (including combined December–January payments) of ₹3,000 or ₹4,500 are being credited directly into Aadhaar-linked accounts. Ensure your eKYC is complete to receive all pending amounts.

The scheme was designed specifically for the socio-economic empowerment of women, ensuring that money reaches beneficiaries directly without any middlemen through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. Since its launch, the scheme has enrolled millions of women across Maharashtra.

⚠️ 2026 Update: Stricter Verification
The government removed nearly 25 lakh ineligible accounts in a cleanup drive. Cross-verification is now done with Income Tax and Government Payroll databases. Ensure your eligibility and complete eKYC immediately.
